Tutorial: review Lens context
Use ACAS, Statute, Procedure and Case Law Lens panels without mixing source layers.
What Lens review is for
Lens panels bring source-linked non-ET material into the same research workspace. They help users inspect context, but they do not decide whether a process, claim or argument is correct.
Walkthrough
Keep each source family separate while reviewing relevance.
- 1Open a Case Profile, Research File or Memo detail page.
- 2Expand the relevant Lens panel.
- 3Read the source title, source type, passage and relevance notes.
- 4Open the source URL where available.
- 5Compare the Lens passage with selected ET decisions.
- 6Promote only useful Lens findings into memo context.
- 7Check promoted citations again on the memo page.
Source separation
ACAS guidance, statutory passages, procedure guidance and higher-authority case law have different roles. Do not treat them as interchangeable with Employment Tribunal fact-pattern comparables.
