Tutorial: review Lens context

Use ACAS, Statute, Procedure and Case Law Lens panels without mixing source layers.

What Lens review is for

Lens panels bring source-linked non-ET material into the same research workspace. They help users inspect context, but they do not decide whether a process, claim or argument is correct.

Walkthrough

Keep each source family separate while reviewing relevance.

  1. 1Open a Case Profile, Research File or Memo detail page.
  2. 2Expand the relevant Lens panel.
  3. 3Read the source title, source type, passage and relevance notes.
  4. 4Open the source URL where available.
  5. 5Compare the Lens passage with selected ET decisions.
  6. 6Promote only useful Lens findings into memo context.
  7. 7Check promoted citations again on the memo page.

Source separation

ACAS guidance, statutory passages, procedure guidance and higher-authority case law have different roles. Do not treat them as interchangeable with Employment Tribunal fact-pattern comparables.
